Your first appointment at MindBody Bariatrics can be a medical visit with Dr. Dominic Ricciardi. Dr. D Ricciardi will evaluate and treat any medical causes of overweight. He is highly specialized in the treatment of medical problems caused by excess weight (such as diabetes, high bood pressure, and high cholesterol). At each visit Dr. D Ricciardi will outline his medical treatment plan and reccomend some behavioral modifications. Dr. D Ricciardi may use prescription weight loss medication in appropriate patients.

You can also schedule your intial appointment with Dr. Lindsey Ricciardi for a full lifestyle evaluation. She evaluates and helps manage lifestyle issues and habits that lead to overweight. Prior to your initial visit you will need to fill out our MindBody Application Packet. Please call our office at 702-363-6005 for web access to our application forms.

Dr. Dominic Ricciardi will also need a full blood panel that was completed within the last 6 months.

If you are planning on using weight loss medication you will also need a recent EKG of your heart. Having this information prior to your first appointment will help get your weight loss treatment started much quicker. If you do not have this information the doctor will order it after you evaluation.

Typically we also test your metabolism at your first appointment. You will need to prepare for this test.
