Are all calories the same? Is the low carb thing a passing fad? Is the Atkins diet safe? This class is devoted to learning what happens to carbohydrates once they enter your body. We will review the science of carbohydrates and how different kinds interact differently with your body's metabolism and appetite. We will take an in-depth look at low carbohydrate diets, their safety, efficacy, and psychological impact. This class is helpful for all but is a must for individuals with a family history of diabetes, pre-diabetes, diabetes, and polycystic ovarian syndrome.
